Cherry shrimp update

IMG_0684Just a short update here! It’s been 8 days since I added 6 red cherry shrimp to the 55 gallon tank. When I added them I had been prepared for 1-2 weeks of major hiding from these guys seeing a that’s what everyone said they’d do. Well they were pretty much right. My shrimp are right on track for their 1-2 weeks of hiding.

After about 5 solid days of barely coming out of the grass I began to notice one or two cherries coming out and hiding in other plants. And now after 8 days there’s only IMG_0713one shrimp in each patch of grass. The other four have found other places to hide. :p

However, when the shrimp are out and about, they really do go about. I’ve seen one skittering all along the gravel, another swimming up along the back glass, another crawls in and out of all the nooks and crannies of the wood ornament.

All in all, I think they’re coming along just swimmingly!

And remember, happy fish, happy keepers!
